Acknowledging the participants, most of them had come from various parts of the country, the Governor anticipate that the conference would provide a valuable opportunity to the participating specialists to share their experiences and evolve newer approaches which would enable early detection and more effective and affordable treatment for infertility.

He observed that advances in assisted reproductive technologies, such as IVF, could offer hope to couples suffering from infertility.

Vohra noted that the inability to conceive causes untold stress and emotional problems among them.

He stressed the importance of the wealthy segments of the national economy making meaningful contributions to enable research on fertility and artificial reproduction techniques.
