As the long awaited CBSE 12th class results have been declared today, an outstation girl, Muskan Tyagi emerged to be the overall topper from Jammu and Kashmir.
The Science stream student of Jodhamal Public School, Jammu, Muskan Tyagi is daughter of Lalit Mohan Tyagi of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. She scored total 391 marks (97.75%) with 97 marks in English, 95 in Physics, 99 in Physical Education. She scored cent percent marks (100) in Painting.
After passing her 11th standard examination from a Rajasthan school, Muskan came to Jammu only last year, after her father, a private sector employee, had to shift to this district due to a departmental transfer.
Muskan credited her teachers and her parents for the position in the 12th class examination.
“Whenever I found myself in any problem, my teachers at the Jodhamal Public School helped me to get me out of it. They always remained cooperative throughout my one year of being at the school,” Tyagi said.
She also tagged her father, Lalit Mohan Tyagi as the man behind her success in 12th class examinations.
When asked what her future plans are, she said, “I always wanted to be a fashion designer and I would work hard to get admission in National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).”
Her papa, who had come with her at the Jodhamal Public School to celebrate the success of Muskan Tyagi also supported her daughter.
“I had never enforced any decision on my daughter as far as her education is concerned and I would never do this. If she has some plans in her mind, let her go with them,” the proud father of Muskan Tyagi, Lalit Mohan Tyagi said, when asked whether he supports the decision of his daughter becoming a fashion designer.
