Rakshabandhan a symbol of Love & Harmony, was celebrated with inamates and Staff of the District Jail, Ambphalla, Jammu by Vichar Kranti Manch International.
Javed Masood Fazli Jail Superintendent was kind enough to permit VKMI to celebrate the function with great fervor and Spirit. I.D. Soni, Chief Advisor VKMI and State Commissioner J&K Bharat Scouts & Guides, in his address blessed the, inmates, Police officers & People from Civil Society & Representative of different NGOS and wished them all that this festival of peace, harmony and love may bring to them prosperity and healthy long life.
Rattan Lal Mahajan , a Social activist & Ex. President Ware House & Nehru Market Federation Presided over the function. The Police officers of the Jail Surinder Singh Superintendent, Naseer Ahmed Assistant Superintendent ( Male) and Susheel Raina Assistant Superintendent (Females) extended valuable sport and active co-operation to make the celebrations a grand success.
Chander Mohan Sharma General Secretary Conducted the Proceedings of the programe. S.K. Jain President VKMI in his address explained about the activities of the Manch and threw light on the importance of the festival.
The Representatives of different NGOS, Civil Society, Participated in the function of tying rakhis on the wrists of the Male inmates according to the ideal tradition by the Female personals of the civil society. They took the lead to add charm, beauty and elegance to the function which created a sense of belonging to the hearts of Jail inmates. Sweets, biscuits, Juices were distributed to all inmates by Rattan lal Mahajan, Giat Nandan Jain, Narinder Jain, Ram Prakash Sharma & Kulbushan Jain.
The NGOS which participated in Rakshabandhan celebrations included, J&K Gouraksha Samiti, B.M. Meditation Trust & Research Centre Kup (PB), S.S. Jain Sabha, J&K Bharat Scouts & Guides, J&K Conferedration of voluntary social & Charitable Organisation, Ware House & Nehru Market Federation, Sarv Uthan Trust, Annamalai University, Bhartiya Yog Sansthan & Above all Vichar Kranti ManchInternational.
Sudhagar Shah Gupta, K.S. Samyal, Muni Lal Gupta, Janak Raj Gupta, Ashok Gupta, Giat Nandan Jain and Dr. R.R. Khajuria, Prof. Sarla Kohli, Ex Principal GGM Science College, Dr. Usha Tickoo& Anju Bansal also graced function.
