Expressing deep anguish over the continuous neglect in employment sector with the youth of Jammu region, ex-MLA and NPP President Balwant Singh Mankotia disclosed that party leadership has decided to launch chain hunger strike from January 15, 2018 to end discrimination with the educated youth of Jammu region.
He blamed that BJP has totally surrendered the interest of Jammu youth before the Kashmir leadership for lust of power and adopted a criminal silence over discrimination in employment.
While addressing the party workers in presence of Chairman Harsh Dev Singh and Youth President Yashpal Kundal at Jammu office, ex-MLA and NPP President Balwant Singh Mankotia made a scathing attack on PDP-BJP Coalition Government for its failure and biased approach towards the educated youth of Jammu region.
Party leaders discussed the issue of unemployment, SRO 202, SRO 506 and continuous neglect in government jobs.
He claimed that government is providing 10 per cent share to Jammu youth while 90 per cent to youth of Kashmir since the formation of BJP-PDP Coalition Government.
The way highly educated youth of Jammu region are being continuously neglected by the State Government fpr the last three years cannot be tolerated, regretted Mankotia.
He demanded that government should abolish the SRO 202 and provide full salary to the youth joining government job rather than half salary for five years and appoint them as permanent employee in various departments.
He also blamed that BJP ministers are just behaving like a B team of the Coalition Government and resentment is brewing among masses.
Mankotia also termed the SOR 520 as an eyewash and blamed that Govt has deceived the temporary/daily wager employees and asked the government to make amendments in the said SRO and regularise them as permanent employees and provide the due salary.
Party leaders also discussed the upcoming Panchayat elections in State and chalked out strategy to strengthen the party at grass root level and become stronger in State. The way people of Jammu region are facing discrimination in every sphere, party leader also decided to launch aggressive movement for separate Jammu state demand to seek right and justice.
On this occasion P.K Ganjoo, Anita Thakur, Shankar Chib, Rajesh Padgotra, Rajesh Gorkha, Gagan Pratap Singh, Doda convenor Parshotam Parihar, Kishtwar district president Rehmat Choudhary, Ramban District President Sewa Singh Bali, Poonch District President Ishfaq Rana, Rajouri District President Mushtaq Choudhary, Kathua District President Robin Sharma, Udhampur District President Sanjeet Sharma, Samba District President Rajeshwar Singh, Reasi District President Daleep Singh, Zorawar Singh, Neeraj Gupta, Desh Rattan Pandita, Shiv Charan Singh, Basharat Ali, Rajender Manjoo and Ramesh Khajuria were also present.
