Indian Army organised a ‘Dental Health Camp’ for the Awaam of remote Tehsil Goha in DODA

"Spreading Smiles" Indian Army organised a ‘Dental Health Camp’ for the Awaam of remote Tehsil Goha in DODA region. A dental team comprising of one Army Dental doctor, one Dental Assistant and three Nursing Assistants of Command Military Dental Centre, Udhampur provided the much needed specialized dental & medical care to gents, ladies, children, incl elderly people hailing from remote and inaccessible areas of the region. Wide publicity of the initiative was given a week in advance to ensure that maximum people availed the opportunity. The camp witnessed over whelming turnout, with a total of 197 patients being treated, which included 71 ladies, 107 gents and 19 children. The local population and district administration expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards Army for this yeoman service. The Dental Health Camp has been the first of its kind in the region and has gone a long way in providing succor to the populace of remote Doda District. During the camp Army also distributed Health, Nutrition and Child Care pamphlets to parents in order to spread the message of medical awareness amongst the general populace.
