Red Ribbon Club of the college celebrated World Red Cross Day to pay tribute to Jean Henry Dunant who was the founder of International committee of Red Cross. During the function Prof. Kamaljeet briefed the students and teachers about “What Red Cross Society is and What it does”. Those who were present on the occasion Dr. Dalbir Singh, Dr. M.S Pathania, Prof. Renu Angurana, Prof Rajesh Gupta and Dr. Yash Paul. Principal , Dr. G S Rakwal. The whole programme was coordinated by Dr. Rawan Kumar , Convenor Red Ribbon Club of this College.
On the directions of District Development Commissioner Samba, Government Girls model Higher Secondary School Samba celebrated World Red Cross Day at school premises. Block Development Officer, Samba Malvika Sharma was the Chief Guest on this occasion.
A symposium was also organised in which Richa of GGHSS Samba secured first prize while Diksha Sambyal and Sonali remained second and third. After that cultural programme was held in which Valmiki Public School Samlah got first prize while second and third was secured by GGHSS Samba. In paper reading competition Anil Kumar Verma, Master and Jeevan Jyoti were rewarded as the best spokesperson. All the winners were awarded by the Chief Guest. Principal Jai Krishan Raina also addressed the event and motivates the students towards voluntarily contribution for mankind through Red Cross Society.

HIRANAGAR: World Red Cross Day was celebrated in the premises of Govt. Model Higher Secondary School Hiranagar under the chairmanship of Principal Naresh Kumar Sharma . The various school of the cluster level during the function and NCC cadets participated on symposium “World Red Cross Day”. Prizes and refreshment are distributed among the students.
POUNI: Government Girls High School Pouni celebrated International Red Cross Day in its school premises under the chairmanship of BS Jaral Chief Education Officer Reasi.
On the occasion, students presented their views in the symposium on “Together for Humanity” theme followed by poster making and awareness rally taken out in the local periphery raising slogans based on the objectives of Red Cross Society for the welfare of Humanity. Programme was organised under the stewardship of Sanjeev Kumar Sharma In charge CCA. Nancy Devi, Pallavi Thakur, Surbhi Sharma, Ishika Khajuria, Rahat Sharma, spoke on the theme. Vaishno Devi HM of the institution while speaking on the occasion asked the students to remain active in co-curricular activities too simultaneously with their routine class work. Rasveer Singh, Ujagar Singh, Daleep Kumar, Samrender Kumar, Laxmi Devi, Reenu Devi and Sanjeev Kumar also spoke on the occasion.
Red Cross Day celebrations at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Arnora in Doda
DODA: To commemorate the birth anniversary of the founder of Red Cross Movement and first Noble Prize Winner Sir Henry Dunant, the World Red Cross Day was today celebrated with great enthusiasm at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Arnora in Ghat (Doda).
In this connection, the Department of Health & Family Welfare Block Ghat and BPMU Ghat organized an impressive programme in the school premises of JNV Arnora which was held under the supervision of Block Medical Officer (BMO) Ghat Dr Mohammad Fareed Bhat.
The programme was attended by BMO Ghat Dr Mohammad Fareed Bhat, Principal JNV Arnora Ravinder Kumar, Dr Tanveer Ahmed, BMEO NHM Ghat Mashhood Latief, Zeeshan Ali Tramboo, Ajaz Hussain, Ashok Shan and Faizan Ali Tramboo besides faculty and students of JNV Arnora. Shri Raj, Faculty of JNV Arnora conducted the proceedings of the programme whereas Neha presented the formal vote of thanks.
District Red Cross Society Doda celebrated World Red Cross Day with great enthusiasm. The day also coincides with the Birth Anniversary of Sir Henry Dunant- the founder of Red cross movement. District Development Commissioner and the Chairman of District Red Cross society, Bhawani Rakwal was the Chief Guest.
A large number of students representing various schools of the district participated in the celebration and participated in the debate and painting competition held on this year’s theme of the World Red Cross Day- “everywhere for every one -smile”.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Parihar, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Tariq Hussain Naik, Chief Medical Officer, Wajid Ali Najar, Principal Boys HSS Tanveer Ahmed Wani, DEPO Ayaz Mughal, District Sports Officer, Ashok Kotwal and other officails of District Administration and Health Department and heads of various govt and private schools were present in the programme.
Meanwhile, the DC felicitated the winners of Debate and painting competitions organised on the theme. Anie Suhail a student of Faridia Model HSS Doda was declared as winner in debate whereas In Painting Iqra Balwan & Nabeel Suharwardy shared the first prize.
Earlier DDC Flagged off a rally of students carrying banners of Red Cross depicting various health messages. The rally Marched throughout the town raising the slogans and finally culminated at Boys HSS Doda.
REASI: District Administration Reasi organized a rally and cultural programme to mark the Red Cross Day and Birth Anniversary of the founder of the Red Cross Organization (RCO), Jean Henry Dunant.
Deputy Commissioner Prasanna Ramaswami G was the Chief Guest who urged upon the civil society to follow road safety rules and contribute their bit towards Red Cross movement by providing succor to poor people, patients and accident victims. He appreciated the role of the DRCS and its volunteers especially during the mishaps in this calamity prone area.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Rakesh Wazir, Honorary General Secretary Red Cross Society also spoke on the occasion. SSP, ADC, Tehsildars, district officers, representatives of companies associated with execution of national projects, local people, teachers and students.
Red Cross day was also celebrated in schools and other institutions at Mahore, Dharmari, Pouni, Arnas etc
POONCH: District Red Cross Society (DRCS), Poonch celebrated Word Red Cross Day by holding a massive promotional rally of students.
Additional District Development Commissioner Poonch Abdul Hamid flagged off a rally of students from Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School, which after passing through main township areas culminated at Qila market. Principal Boys Higher Sec. School Poonch Sudarshan Sharma, Members of Red Cross Society, Volunteers and Staff members of different schools were also present on the occasion. ADDC Poonch, Abdul Hamid highlighted the contribution of Henry Dunant towards the world and the strengthening of the movement at the school levels. Principal host school udarshan Sharma and lecturer Khalid Amin were also present.
