LEH, Aug 28: A team of Lotus Flower Trust UK led by its Chairman Sarah Branquinho and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) John Hunt visited People's Action Group for Inclusion and Rights (PAGIR) Society andinaugurated the building meant for recycle machine. The fully solarised building build by ecoDesign Construction Firm Leh was funded by the UK Lotus flower Trust. The UK trust has also sanctioned the ongoing construction solarised hostel building for PAGIR where about 30 differently abled person will be accommodates in near future. Lotus flower Trust UK is working on about 35 projects in Ladakh which includes 15 ICDS Centres, Nunneries and Schools in Leh District. Pertinent to mention here that PAGIR office building was build with the seed money of Dalai Lama and MLA Nawang Rigzin Jora. "While sitting in UK it was hard to imagine the scale of problems face by the people of PAGIR with many physical challenges but today seeing them in person gives immense satisfaction" said Lotus Flower Trust UK Chairman Sarah Branquinho while expressing her delight to interact
with PAGIR member. She assured to help PAGIR in future as well. Addressing the gathering CEO John Hunt
said that some of the PAGIR residents especially Tsering and Kesang made a huge impact on him and decided
to help in PAGIR. He said that PAGIR is the home of everybody and whosoever helped PAGIR would feel proud to see differently abled person doing wonderful jobs. He also hailed the contribution of ADC Moses Kunzang efforts in installing recycle paper machine where team of differently abled person is doing work to earn their living. Earlier, PAGIR President Mohd Iqbal presented the welcome address. PAGIR also presented the visiting team with souvenirs made by differently abled person from waste materials.
