Due to lack of employment opportunities in our country, an ample amount of students are opting for a career in foreign countries. Although our Govt has taken preventive measures to deplete this trend as they have come with good news for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir in the field of Medicine.
As per the news:
“Each medical college will have an intake capacity of 100 seats from the current academic session 2019-20. That means an increase of over 400 seats.
All these seats would be reserved for J&K domiciles and 50 percent seats would be reserved for female aspirants as per the MBBS Admission Policy in the State.
“The Board of Governors has come to a conclusion that a letter may be issued for obtaining certain essential documents in connection with issuance of LoP for establishment of new medical college Kathua with annual intake capacity of 100 students in MBBS course from the academic session 2019-20.
Doda Medical colleges will be providing 50 seats due to its infrastructural constraints.
J&K will become a hub of Medical education.
At present, the GMC Srinagar and Jammu together have 300 MBBS seats, Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Science (SKIMS), Soura, has 100 seats, while Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences (ASCOMS), Jammu has 100 seats.

Now with this scenario in our State, parents will be relieved as they don't have to send their wards outside the state or country.
Female candidates should take this opportunity in full swing as they are blessed to get such a golden chance. As Doctor is the most respectable and remunerative profession for girls.
