Warm farewell accorded to D R Doley

A warm send off was accorded to D R Doley Barman, during a function held here on Wednesday evening. The function was attended by the DGP J&K, Dilbag Singh and other senior Police officers. Doley, a 1986 batch IPS officer, superannuated as the Chairperson cum MD J&K Police Housing Corporation on May 31, 2019 after rendering more than 32 years of service.
Doley had joined the Department in December 1986 and remained posted at different positions during her service career. She served as SDPO Reasi, SP Traffic Srinagar, AIG (Pers) PHQ, SSP Udhampur, DIG Traffic, DIG Administration PHQ, IGP CID, IGP Headquarters PHQ, ADGP Headquarters PHQ and ADGP HG/CD/SDRF. She had also served as the Director, North East Police Academy and Director, SVP National Police Academy, Hyderabad during her deputation to the GoI.
Speaking on the occasion, DGP Dilbag Singh highlighted contributions of Doley towards J&K Police and other institutions, where she served during her deputation. He further said that her works for welfare of Police personnel will be remembered long. Highlighting various capabilities of the officer, the DGP said that her excellent organisational skills contributed much towards the organisation.
Doley, in her address, thanked the DGP and other officers for organising a farewell party for her. Sharing some of her experiences, Doley said that Jammu and Kashmir Police is among the best Police departments, whose mere mention is received with respect across the country.

The DGP, on behalf of all ranks, presented gifts and mementoes to D R Doley. The function was attended by galaxy of senior police officers and PWWA members.
