Aima, Nehru inaugurate Mata Sarswati Pustakalaya at Jagti

Prof Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor Central University of Jammu, Raj Nehru, Vice Chancellor Skill Development University, Haryana and Vijay Aima, President All India Kashmiri Samaj in presence of galaxy of KP community leaders, educationist, social activists and scholars inaugurated Mata Sarswati Pustakalaya, a library cum Book Bank (A community project of Helpline Humanity and All India Kashmiri Samaj) in an impressive and well attended function at Jagti, here today.
Prominent among other dignitaries present on the occasion were Prof C L Sadhu, M K Yogi, Tej Krishen Jighsoo, AK Raina, Vice President AIKS, Vijay Kashkari, Aryan Ramesh, Mr Naveen, HL Wangoo, Sunil Pandita, TN Bhat and Mr Santosh, Principal Higher Secondary School Camp Jagti.
The books were issued to the needy students in the camps and Non Camps.
Earlier, Principal Hr Secondary School Camp Jagti presented welcome address.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Aima appreciated the organizers to conduct such event and promised all possible help in the near future, adding that the youth has a very important role to play in the society and channelizing their energy in a positive direction to help them not to derail from the mainstream is the need of the hour.
Saying that studies serve for delight, for ornament and for ability, Prof Aima said that presenting books to needy and deserving students is the demand of the situation, because it were books and pen only which had served as a beacon light and guided and goaded displaced community even in the grim atmosphere of banishment.
Raj Nehru in his address gave some important tips to the students for developing positive thoughts in life and shared his experience as to how to climb the ladder of success.
Vijay Aima, President AIKS advised the students to prepare for competitive entrance exams as hard work has no alternative, adding that it is the sheer-dint of hard work which helped the community to survive in adverse conditions.
The Helpline Humanity has devised a plan of providing School Text Books and their refreshers courses for Higher Classes for distribution to them for one full academic session which should be later utilized for the new fresh Batches of students admitted in the schools in subsequent years.
“In the first phase, we intend to start for classes 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th. This would to a large extend lessen the financial burden of the parents who are sustaining on the Relief Payments. This Plan will be beneficial to the students’ community in the Camps and Non-Camps”, said representative from Helpline Humanity.
Col GK Raina and S L Pandita also spoke on the occasion.
M K Bhat, President Helpline Humanity presented the achievements of Helpline Humanity, while vote of thanks was presented by Omesh Raina.
