Jammu and Kashmir today registered a solitary goal win against Uttrakhand to keep their hopes alive in the ongoing North Zone Senior National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy at different venues of neighbouring Himachal Pradesh today.
J&K got a good number of chances in the second half of the play to improve their score but could not break the strong defense line of Uttrakhand.
J&K took an early lead when Hanan Mir successfully converted a penalty into goal in the 10th minute of the game. The forward line remained aggressive in rest of the first half too but without any more success.
Now, with a win and draw to their credit, J&K look forward to take on the mighty Punjab in the next league game. In fact, both J&K and Punjab will enter the field eying on a win to qualify for the knock-out stages.
