As there are some set expectations from a film like OK Jaanu which belongs to a romantic musical drama.
So with the film being an official remake of the Tamil flick OK Kanmani, you know that the basic flavor of the Mani Ratnam directed original would be kept intact by director Shaad Ali. Well, somehow true!

A.R. Rahman as the composer, you do want to give the soundtrack many repeat hearing so it eventually grows on you. In that aspect, the music indeed integrates well
Karan Johar as the producer, you know that the marketing and promotion would be well positioned and youth would be adequately targeted. In that aspect, 'Humma' - though forced - does the job.
Ok, so with quite a few movies [Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Befikre] in the recent times already challenging the institution of marriage and 'trying' to speak the language of the youth, the theme of OK Jaanu is indeed in.

Shaadi Ali [Kill/Dil, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom] as the director, you do wonder if a thorough entertainer would indeed be in the offering. Well, he doesn't make a Saathiya but does better than before.

Well, it is indeed better than the promo, though not thoroughly engaging.
OK Jaanu

As 2016 has come out with many films with good first half and average second half, you do hope that's not the case here. As it happens, one does wish second half was equally good as the first half here.

Ok Jaanu will not work will all segments. It will basically work for youth.
OK Jaanu could be an ‘Ok’ visit till Raees and Kaabil.

Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, two good looking youngsters coming together after Aashiqui 2, you know for sure that visuals would indeed come out well. That indeed happens!
