Jammu : Natrang in its Sunday theatre series presented a very fresh production "Whispers in the Dark" by our young artiste's. The play was written by Syed Mudasir Ali and directed by the duo, Syed Mudasir Ali and Rajan Thakyal.
The play revolves around the theory of Parallel universes, the concept is known as "parallel universe," and is a facet of the astronomical theory of the multiverse and the Chinese theory of yin and yang - dark and bright which depicts how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected and interdependent in the natural world and how they may give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another. It depicted the story of the cop and the killer and puzzled around the mystery as to, who killed whom? Was it really a murder or just a dream or a story that lived in his mind? It questioned very mysterious questions like, who created us. -God. Who created God? The play left certain questions that were unanswerable and are very obvious.
It was a mixture of fiction and suspense which left the audiences in dilemma as to think about what could have happened actually? The killer thinks murder is no crime and why is it a crime? He leaves a very thrilling question that, when you pluck flowers is that no crime? The most attracting part of the play was the execution of Objective Theatre that portrayed the movements and designed gestures of the actors that left the audiences to imagine the scenario by the abstract sounds created by props and flowing speech of the actors.
